- I received my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Yonsei University in 2025, where I pursued my doctoral research in the Optical Imaging Systems Laboratory under the supervision of Prof. Seung Ah Lee.
- During my Ph.D. training, I was awarded a government-funded fellowship that supported a research visit to Duke University, where I worked under the mentorship of Prof. Roarke Horstmeyer in the Department of Biomedical Engineering (June 2022–March 2023) on collaborative projects in computational optics.
- I’ve enjoyed attending conferences and have been fortunate to meet and chat with many friends and mentors. My favorites include Photonics West and the Gordon Research Conference on Imaging Science.
- I have been truly blessed with several opportunities to have my work acknowledged during my time as a PhD student. Yet, nothing compares to the deeply humbling honor of representing the College of Engineering to accept the doctoral degree from the President in recognition of my academic excellence. Having spent my entire academic journey at this university, to receive such an honor from my academic home fills me with immense gratitude.
- In Spring 2025, our lab relocated to a larger facility at Seoul National University, where I served as a Senior Researcher. I can’t wait to see what this next generation achieves here at the Imaging Intelligence Lab.
- I have moved to the United States to join the University of Michigan as a Postdoctoral Associate in Biomedical Engineering! I am incredibly excited to work under the guidance of Dr. Kevin Zhou, a truly exceptional mentor.
- What we see defines what we believe. I believe that as we expand our ability to observe the world, we also deepen our empathy for it. I am passionate about sharing my work with broader audiences through exhibitions and actively communicating with the younger generation.
